Most books are covered in cloth of some kind, although there are many books bound in paper. The life of a book can often be stressful and result in ware & damage. Covers may have become detached, or torn, corners may be soft or damaged and the pages might be falling out, but in most cases they can be restored, either as a repair or rebound in the original style. 

We always endeavour to keep as much of the original binding as possible, and will discuss with you exactly what we suggest having seen the book before starting any work.
